The Coop’s position on taxation:

The Coop is not currently registered for GST, and therefore no GST will be charged on commissions and fees charged by The Coop for the conveyance of sales of a creators’ intangible property at this time.  When the The Coop is either required, or voluntarily chooses to register for GST, the tax in the amount of 5% will be added to our fees and commissions.  

Authors, artists and creators, by providing their works to be sold on The Coop’s website, are agreeing to comply with all local, regional, and federal income tax and excise tax guidelines.  Creators’ are required to included any tax they are required to collect in the price of their works listed on The Coop’s website.
